The firm’s
principal, Gary Smith FNAEA,
is a leading member of the local branch of the
National
Association of Estate Agents
and has a position on the National
Executive of the NAEA. Mr. Smith does, however,
ensure that he is very involved with the day to day running of
Smiths offices, offering support and back up, and is always
available to meet clients’ needs as and when required.
The
NAEA
was established in 1962 to promote high ethical and professional
standards for Estate Agents and entry to the
NAEA is by examination. In
addition, Smiths are also
members of the
Ombudsman Scheme for Estate Agents,
which provides an independent arbitration service for dealing
with disputes between member’s agencies and customers buying or
selling residential property in the UK.
Strict codes of conduct have to be observed by Scheme Members.
Our Policy
We advertise weekly in various media property
supplements, in Suffolk and Essex together with other specialist
magazines as appropriate. We are also members of
Rightmove.co.uk.
which is the leading Internet property
web site in the UK, ensuring full and thorough
promotion of your property nationwide and worldwide. Whilst
most sellers are happy to conduct viewings themselves, we are
always willing to accompany prospective purchasers, if required.
We follow up all viewings promptly and give comprehensive
feedback. Once your house is under offer we monitor the sale
throughout with all relevant parties, providing regular progress
updates, liaising with Solicitors, Finance Brokers and other
Estate Agents, as necessary, right through to Legal Completion.
Where appropriate we will recommend
Sale by Private Tender where we are often able to
achieve a better price for an out-of-the-ordinary opportunity.
Our experience, ability and willingness to
assist in every respect, results in satisfied clients, repeat
business and personal recommendation.
Our main local advertising takes place in
The East Anglian Daily Times,
Evening Star, Essex Chronicle and Essex County Standard.
We are also experienced in assessing potential for
residential development on single or multiple plots and work
together with National Developers on larger sites.
There are many vulnerable persons who deserve respect and
need unbiased advice and who are often understandably
cautious when selecting an Agent. We pride ourselves on
giving such people best advice.
We have a branch office in the village of Dedham,
Smiths
Village Homes, which
specialises in country and village homes. It has its
own website and our local contact there will be only too pleased to help you.
Smiths Country and Equestrian are a dedicated section
specialising in properties with land across the East Anglian
region and our consultants are ready to help you with any
enquiry about this type of property.
In summary we CARE
about our clients.
